I used to say: "How good if I have half of her beauty." "she is so clever." "Why am I so stupid" "Why I don't have any talent.."
Now, what I have to say is, everyone has his own characteristics, attitude, personality, behavior, interests, and etc.... One may not good in studies, but he or she may be good in other things. One may be good at studies, but may not good in other things. Therefore, in short, everyone is SPECIAL.
Nowadays, because of our education system, parents tend to send their children to go for tuition. This can actually be a good thing or a bad thing. However, some parents do not let their children to participate in extra-curricular activities. They think that studies are more important. They force their children to study a lot and at the end their children may have exam-phobia. Studies are important, but giving your child a chance to do what he or she likes is also important. Some activities in school are very useful to them too. So, do not let them to miss a chance to discover what are their abilities. If not, the children may think that they are useless as they cannot score well in the exam. Don't tell them that getting first place in running is useless. Who knows? He may be the representative of Malaysia in Olympics for running event. Never tell your child that he or she is useless!
One will not have the same characteristics with other people. You have your own ability. It is the time that matters- whether when you know what's your ability is. Some people may have already shown their own talent. Its just that they do not realize it.
